Early Years Program (EYP) Curriculum

Learning with Heart

Learning begins with what children know, feel and experience.

Our curriculum is designed for young children, drawing on the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS), Cambridge Early Years, and inquiry and project-based learning, and shaped by our understanding of young children and the world they experience every day.

From the familiar to the new

We begin with what children already know, then gradually open doors to new ideas. Real before symbolic. Familiar before new.

Stories at the heart of learning

Stories spark curiosity, open conversations and lead to new explorations.

Learning by doing

Children explore, build, create and solve problems through hands-on experiences.

Following curiosity

Children’s own questions often lead to deeper learning through inquiry and projects.

Growing as a person

Social and emotional learning grows through everyday moments and relationships.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Children explore new places, discover the world around them and turn real-life experiences into meaningful learning opportunities.

Blended Literacy Approach

Our blended literacy approach combines whole language and phonics instruction elements. Children are encouraged to explore reading and writing through context-based learning, phonemic awareness, and storytelling. This approach ensures that each child builds a strong foundation in language skills, fostering comprehension and decoding abilities.

Montessori-Inspired EPL (Exercise of Practical Life) Activities

We incorporate Montessori’s practical life exercises (EPL) to enhance fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, focus, and attention. These activities help children develop the physical and cognitive skills needed for more complex tasks. The repetition of these exercises builds independence, concentration, and self-confidence.

Hands-On, Experiential Learning

We emphasise learning through direct experience. Our curriculum aims to engage all the senses, offering children opportunities to touch, feel, explore, and experiment with the world around them. Hands-on learning activities like arts and crafts, building, role-playing, and outdoor exploration make learning fun and meaningful.

XSEED Curriculum Aligned with NEP

Our kindergarten curriculum follows the XSEED program, which aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP). This curriculum emphasises experiential learning, critical thinking, and creativity, ensuring our children are well-prepared for future academic success. XSEED’s child-centred approach encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning from an early age.
