We, the students of Heartfulness International School, are proud to present Kalanjali — a celebration of the timeless beauty of India’s classical music and dance. More than just a performance, Kalanjali is a platform for young talent to honor tradition while inspiring a new generation to cherish our rich cultural heritage.
Over the past eight editions, we have had the honor of hosting renowned artists from across Tamil Nadu, including Bombay Jayashri, Ranjani-Gayatri, Maestro Shashank, and Dr. Anita Ratnam, among others.
This year, we are privileged to host Santoor Maestro Pandit Rahul Sharma, son of the legendary santoor virtuoso, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Pandit Rahul Sharma learned the art of playing the santoor — a timeless instrument — from his father. He has elevated its presence on international platforms by collaborating with artists from around the world. One of the few musicians to seamlessly blend the santoor with global genres such as rock, jazz, and electronica, he has composed over 60 albums that reflect his unique musical vision.
This year, Kalanjali 2025 will take place on November 1st at Vani Mahal, T. Nagar, Chennai.

The students of Heartfulness International School, Omega Branch (Formerly Lalaji Memorial Omega International School) are proud to present, ‘Kalanjali 2024’, an annual festival of Performing Arts. ‘Kalanjali’ is a noble initiative by our students to preserve our culture and tradition and give an aesthetically enriching experience to the viewers. We are proud to announce Kalanjali for the 2024 season. The event demonstrates our enduring passion for and our commitment to the arts and is an initiative to not only exposing them to the rich Indian tradition, values and culture but to teach event management skills to the students in the most practical way possible. it is organized and managed entirely by the students of the senior school under the guidance of teachers.
This year Kalanjali brings to you, ‘Bhu Viplava – the restless earth’, a contemporary dance drama production directed by Indian Classical Dancer, Dr. Anita Ratnam, on the 19th of October, 2024, from 5.30 p.m. at Narada Gaana Sabha.

Acharya Shree Varma is from a respected lineage of traditional healers in Travancore, Southern India, near the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. He inherited a deep understanding of ancient healing arts from his family, spanning 15 generations, including Siddha, Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation, and Varma.
